Global Innovation Tournament

Put on by the Stanford Technology Ventures Program at Stanford University, the Global Innovation Tournament is a fast-paced competition in which student teams have just a few days to create as much value as possible from a mystery object or challenge.  They must then convey their results in a short YouTube video. Tournament host organizations (such as you) select their respective local winners and submit them to Stanford for global judging.  Winners are featured online on the Global Entprepreneurship Week website and receive a certificate of recognition from Stanford.  It’s very simple and costs virtually nothing to organize.   All you really have to do is get the students excited and put them to work!  This experiential learning exercise will teach them entrepreneurial thinking skills such as how to innovate; form and work in teams; lever age limited resources; challenge assumptions; create value from nothing; and define and communicate results. This competition is an official activity of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
